OpenClaw’s heartbeat wakes your agent on a schedule. By default, each wake-up carries the entire conversation. Psyseal’s free scanner shows what that costs you and what to change. It runs on your computer and sends nothing anywhere.

Heartbeats per month are 43,200 (the minutes in a 30-day month) divided by the minutes between one heartbeat and the next.
Today: with OpenClaw’s default settings, every heartbeat resends the whole conversation of your main session. Anthropic’s default cache lasts 5 minutes, so at 15, 30 or 60 minutes it has expired and is rewritten every time, at $2.50 per million tokens. Each heartbeat also writes about 100 output tokens at $10 per million. This follows the OpenClaw documentation, version 2026.9.9.
Isolated: with isolatedSession and lightContext turned on, OpenClaw’s documentation puts each heartbeat at about 2,000 to 5,000 tokens, billed the same way. If your heartbeat needs the conversation or the startup files, do not turn it on.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 list prices per million tokens: input $2, 5-minute cache write $2.50, cache read $0.10, output $10. Source: Anthropic’s pricing page, checked October 14, 2026. Other levers, such as a 1-hour cache, overlap with these and are never added up. The scanner applies the same formulas to your real configuration.

These are heuristics. They point at what to review and can miss cases, so a clean report does not prove your memory is healthy.

What it never doesLo que nunca hace
No network. The code imports no network module, and an automated test fails if anyone adds one.
No file writes, no other programs. It only reads openclaw.json, your workspace’s startup and memory files, and the usage file you give it. It does not follow symbolic links.
No AI. It is plain arithmetic and pattern matching, so you get the same result every time.
No secrets on screen. It prints file, line and type, never a key and never the text of your memory. A poisoned memory cannot re-enter your agent through the report.
No changes. You apply the fixes.
The code is plain JavaScript with no dependencies, released under the MIT-0 license. Read it before you run it.
Sin red. El código no importa ningún módulo de red, y una prueba automática falla si alguien agrega uno.

The scanner tells you what is wrong. We are building Psyseal’s review: it cleans the memory with your approval and checks, by replaying three of your agent’s tasks, that it still works the same.

It is not available yet and nothing is charged. The first AI-assisted reviews will be free and limited to one per agent owner. That review will send text to an AI model, so we will say exactly what and ask first.
